A translation error that becomes a resounding embarrassment.

It happened in Pitigliano, in the province of Grosseto, where a museum ended up changing the meaning of a work dedicated to the “Assumption of Mary into Heaven” to an “assumption” understood as entry into a job: “Recruitment of Mary”.

An oversight at the Palazzo Orsini museum didn't go unnoticed: a tourist took a photo of the plaque under the painting by Girolamo di Benvenuto and sent it to the Facebook profile "L'Inglese Imbruttito," which posted it, garnering thousands of likes and comments. It was then reshared by Maremma Oggi.

"This is truly incredible, Margaret sent it to us. It's absolutely amazing, but we're so happy Maria wasn't left unemployed," reads the ironic post from "L'Inglese Imbruttito."
