Two doctors under investigation . The investigation continues into the death of Margaret Spada , the 22-year-old from Lentini, in the Syracuse area, who left with her boyfriend on November 4 to reach the doctor's office in Rome to undergo rhinoplasty. But something went wrong. After local anesthesia, the girl began to feel unwell. The doctors warned her boyfriend, who entered the operating room and managed to film those dramatic moments with his cell phone. The situation quickly escalated, so much so that the twenty-two-year-old was transported by ambulance in very serious conditions to the nearby Sant'Eugenio hospital where she died after three days of agony. The Prosecutor's Office now wants to get to the bottom of the young woman's death and has opened a case for manslaughter . The owners of the facility, seized by the NAS Carabinieri, are under investigation.

The girl's medical records were not found inside the medical center, nor the registration of the operation, which cost about 2,800 euros , nor the informed consent. The clinic also had no sign. The investigators also collected all the documentation regarding Margaret's subsequent hospitalization, when she arrived at Sant'Eugenio in desperate conditions. The investigation also includes a video of a few seconds shot with a cell phone by the girl's boyfriend, which immortalizes the moments in which the doctors tried to revive her. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, coordinated by Erminio Amelio, the girl, who had identified that medical center from an ad on social media, had arrived in the capital on the morning of the operation. After a quick breakfast with her boyfriend, she reached the clinic in Eur, in the southern quadrant of the city, in the late morning. She waited a while before entering the operating room. There, as soon as the anesthesia was administered, she began to feel so bad that the doctors warned her boyfriend who was in the waiting room.

The autopsy , which will be performed in the next few days at the Tor Vergata hospital, will now clarify the exact causes of Margaret's death . The autopsy will be able to establish whether the twenty-two-year-old may have had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia or whether, for example, some other substance administered was lethal. In the meantime, the shocked family is demanding the truth.

"It was her dream - they say - and unfortunately she didn't realize it. It was a small operation under anesthesia, we are waiting to understand better what happened". Margaret's parents and sister, surrounded by the affection of many people, are waiting to know the cause of death. "They knew where their daughter had gone to have the operation and Margaret had entrusted herself to an Italian surgeon - explains the lawyer Alessandro Vinci - she didn't follow fashions or trends. That facility should have given guarantees but it will be up to the investigation to ascertain this". For the lawyer "the absurd thing is that it was a routine operation and that a 22-year-old girl goes home in a coffin, it's unacceptable".
