“I am a cancer patient, I have to undergo an operation that is vital for me but the hospitals are full of unvaccinated Covid patients. How is it possible? Why do I have to pay for the indifference of others? What could a vaccine do worse than cancer? ”.

This is the dramatic appeal launched on Facebook by Laura Di Siena, 42 years old from Pavia.

A rare tumor, about 200 cases a year, discovered by chance. Only three facilities in Italy can treat this tumor of the thymus, between the heart and lungs.

“I had a biopsy and a course of chemotherapy, strong but they worked because the mass was reduced making surgery possible,” she explains.

This intervention cannot be carried out for the moment. Laura received a phone call from the Milan hospital: “I thought they would tell me the day of the operation, but it didn't happen like that. They told me that there has been a cut in beds due to Covid, so I will have to stay on the waiting list I don't know for how long ".

"Do you realize that cancer kills and its incidence increases? Do not get a vaccine, but escaping from cancer is not possible. Would you be happy not to be able to recover due to the lack of attention of others?", Is Laura's appeal? "Enter an oncology ward and you will realize how much you are willing to endure to have another chance".
