Covid infections and the number of hospitalized patients are increasing throughout Italy.

And in the next few days, three regions and an autonomous province are ready to move into the yellow zone, due to the increase in cases and the pressure of coronavirus infected patients on hospital wards.

These are Liguria, Veneto, Marche (the first two from December 20, the second from December 27) and the province of Trento, which would reach Friuli Venezia Giulia, Alto Adige and Calabria, where the change of band has already taken place. Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna should instead "save themselves".

In the next few hours, after the weekly confrontation with the control room, the official decision of the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza will arrive.

But the governor of Liguria Giovanni Toti has already anticipated: "From Monday Liguria will be in the yellow zone for the next two weeks. According to the report of December 16, the average weekly incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants stands at 313 (314 Savona, 235 Spezia , 647 Imperia, 229 Genova) while the number of beds occupied in the medical area is 17% and those in intensive care are 12% ".

Special note, however, is also Sicily, where several municipalities in the provinces of Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Catania and Messina will be in the "orange zone" from Saturday 18 to Monday 27 December, as required by an ordinance signed by the president of the Nello Region. Musumeci, precisely because of the increase in infections.

Infections that in the latest bulletin ( READ ) in Italy exceeded, as had not happened for months, 26 thousand in 24 hours, with a national positivity rate of 3.6%.
