Sardinia among the Italian regions that host fewer migrants. This was underlined by the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese, during the Question Time at the Chamber of Deputies.

Less than two thousand people are currently hosted on the island, explained the head of the Interior Ministry, answering a question about the situation of the dispatch of migrants at the regional level.

"As of today - said Lamorgese - there are 79,154 migrants present in the Italian reception circuit, of which 530 in the hotspots, 53,303 in the first reception facilities and 25,221 in the Sai network. To date, there are 5 regions that welcome the greatest number of migrants: Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, Lazio and Sicily, the others with less presence are Abruzzo, Basilicata, Umbria, Molise, Trentino Alto Adige and Sardinia, regions where there are less than two thousand migrants ".
