“If they find me dead, it was my wife”: a message that reopens the case

The Turin prosecutor has decided to investigate the death which occurred in circumstances that gave rise to more than one doubt.

The 50-year-old had sent a text message to his lover, who lives in Puglia: “If tomorrow they find me dead - he wrote - it was my wife, call the police”. And in fact the death had occurred and the lover had presented himself at the barracks to present the background.

The magistrates opened a file and the body of the 50-year-old was exhumed. The first findings from the autopsy would have highlighted injuries compatible with a violent death but further elements are needed since the man suffered from oral cancer.

Meanwhile, the widow is under investigation for murder. She says she is innocent. Some witnesses spoke of frequent quarrels within the couple.
