A helicopter crashed around 7:20 p.m. in Castel Guelfo , a hamlet of Noceto, in the province of Parma, in the Castelguelfo castle, a medieval manor along the Via Emilia. The property belongs to the Rovagnati family: among the dead is Lorenzo Rovagnati, who had inherited the sausage empire.
Three victims: the other two are pilots. Rovagnati used to reach the castle by helicopter starting from the company headquarters located in Biassono, in the province of Monza.
The firefighters and 118 emergency workers arrived on site. The Carabinieri were also on site to carry out checks and investigations.
From the very first information given by the rescuers, the helicopter was taking off and perhaps after a first attempt was trying to return to land. At the moment, checks are underway on a possible flight plan and on the information given by the aircraft.
