He stabs his wife to death and calls the police

Tragedy this afternoon in Fornaci di Barga, in the province of Lucca.

A 56-year-old man stabbed his wife to death and then phoned the police, to whom he handed himself over.

The murder took place in via Cesare Battisti. When rescuers arrived on site, the woman was already dead.
