Dockers and road hauliers on a war footing in view of October 15, the first day of the mandatory Green Pass in the workplace.

The protest against the green certificate began in Trieste , but has also spread to Genoa. And it could expand further.

"The only opening they can have towards us is to remove the Green pass. The block on Friday is confirmed, today there will be surprises because not only the port of Trieste will stop. Also that of Genoa? I would not stop at that of Genoa. , almost all ports will stop ”, said the spokesman for the port of Trieste, Stefano Puzzer.

Even in Liguria, as mentioned, the dispute is mounting, to the point that some terminal operators in the port of Genoa will pay the tampons to employees who do not have the Green pass. Among these are the Psa di Prà terminal and Porto Petroli.

"The decision is individual for each company, some have given their availability, others are free to choose. Like Confindustria, we reiterate that the rules say that the worker pays the buffer", explained Beppe Costa, president of the association of Genoese terminal operators of Confindustria. .

In short, port workers say they are ready to block the terminals. According to estimates, only at the port of Genoa 20% of dockers have not received the vaccine, while in Trieste there are 900 employees ready to strike.

"On October 15 the strike at the Port of Trieste will take place. The idea is to continue indefinitely, until we get what we want", say the Trieste workers.
