The investigation into the death of Giovanna Pedretti , the 59-year-old restaurateur found dead on Sunday morning in the waters of the Lambro , where she threw herself after having cut her wrists , takes a very specific direction: the Lodi Prosecutor's Office intends to clarify whether the social hatred that overwhelmed her influenced her actions .
The hypothesis, therefore, is of incitement to suicide , with a file currently open without suspects and aimed at the investigations to be carried out.
The Carabinieri, in particular, are investigating to trace the identity of the computer or smartphone from which the online review of a customer of the Le Vignole pizzeria in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano started who allegedly complained about eating in the restaurant with two gay men next to him and a disabled boy. The owner of the pizzeria, Giovanna Pedretti , responded to those words and was then accused on social media of having invented everything just to gain publicity .
The objective of the military is therefore to clarify any doubts: the woman did not leave any suicide notes.
From the first investigations by the police, it seems that the woman did not have economic problems, and therefore did not need any type of free advertising .
As for the customer's review, which was then questioned in its authenticity by the network and primarily by the columnist Selvaggia Lucarelli and her partner, the chef Lorenzo Biagiarelli, Giovanna Pedretti was interviewed on Saturday by the carabinieri as a "person informed of the facts" . And according to what the Corriere reports, the woman "had said she was unaware of the identity of the client, consequently endorsing the scheme of total non-involvement in an alleged plot (her own or together with her family members)".
After the conversation with the military, the restaurateur returned home visibly shaken, complaining to her husband about the media fuss that had arisen over the case.
In this regard, the reaction of the restaurateur's daughter, Fiorina D'Avino, against Selvaggia Lucarelli was very harsh: «To be aggressive is dangerous. Thank you dear 'madam' for massacring my mother through the media. Feel free to look for his next victim ", his words on social media.
An autopsy on the restaurateur's body, including toxicological tests, is scheduled for the next few days.
And in the meantime, Selvaggia Lucarelli comments on the images of silences and escapes, suggestive music and big faces of the correspondents in prime time TV reports, well, as someone said, " either they are idiots or they are scoundrels in bad faith "».
