"A wonderful gift." This is what Geppi Cucciari wanted to do at "Pizzaut" , a company that has been at the forefront for years to "nourish the inclusion" of autistic children through catering.

The Sardinian artist came in second in the comedy show “Lol – Chi ride è fuori”, won by Federico Basso. The latter split the prize money with her and, as per the rules, both donated the sum to charities. For Cucciari, the choice fell on three socially active entities including, precisely, Pizzaut.

«A piece of news that was a wonderful surprise for us», explains Nico Acampora to L'Unione Sarda, the founder of the association, founded in 2017, which today boasts two pizzerias – in Cassina de Pecchi (Milan) and in Monza – and which carries out a myriad of other initiatives to promote the autonomy of autistic people.

"I've known Geppi for a long time, I've even been a guest on her shows and she is very close to Pizzaut, so much so that she often comes to visit us in our restaurants. But I must say that she managed to surprise us once again. A great gesture, for which we are grateful."

And the thanks have also translated into something concrete: a special pizza, included in the Pizzaut menu. What are the ingredients of the new “Pizza Cucciari” ? «The starting point is gratitude, love and inclusion », says Acampora. Adding: «The ingredients are spectacular and obviously pay homage to Sardinia, the land of Geppi: fior di latte, porcetto, caramelized onion, flakes of Pecorino Sardo DOP and a drop of honey».

In short, concludes Acampora (who will be in Sardinia in May to hold a Ted conference and obviously to promote the activity and mission of Pizzaut): «Pizza Cucciari is a Sardinian pizza, creative, strong, original and delicious. Just like our Geppi».
