The toll of an accident on the Triestina state road 14 during the night is dramatic.

Two cars collided head-on. In the very violent impact, in the territory of Quarto d'Altino, in the Venetian area, four people died: three women and a man, and there is one injured in serious condition. The victims, who got stuck in the cockpit, were extracted by the fire brigade but any rescue proved useless.

To lose her life, the police say, were Tatiana Celina Ciobanu, 40, who was driving one of the cars involved; husband Franisc Marita Ciobanu, 45, and daughter Diana Francesca Ciobanu, 21. The three, of Romanian origin, had lived for many years in Jesolo (Venice), together with a second son of the couple, who was not in the car.

The fourth victim is Jyotika Piaser, 29, of Indian origin living in Mestre, who was driving the second vehicle.
