A theft was foiled and a bicycle thief was stopped in Milan thanks to Francesco Toldo's intervention.

Last night, the former number one and current head of the Inter Legends project was parking his scooter on Via Agnello, in the center of Milan, when he saw a boy chasing a peer on a bicycle: "He stole my bike," he told him.

That was enough to prompt the former doorman, who, dressed as a civil protection volunteer, took to the streets in pursuit of the bicycle thief. He caught up with the young man near Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and tossed him off the bike, which he then promptly returned to the man, to the applause of passersby.

"It was incredible," Toldo said. "Seeing the scene, I immediately understood what had happened. As soon as the boy confirmed it, I didn't think twice. I sped off, pulled up alongside him, and with a push, I knocked him off . Then the people in the street recognized me and everyone wanted to hug me. The boy who had been robbed thanked me, and so did everyone else who witnessed the scene."
