Moments of fear in Milan. The city wakes up after a nightmarish night and three stabbings in its streets and squares. Three people were injured in three separate incidents that occurred around midnight. The most serious was a 34-year-old man who was ferociously hit in the abdomen by a stab wound which caused him to be eviscerated.

The attack took place at one o'clock, in via MacMahon almost on the corner with piazza Pompeo Castelli where the man, a foreigner, was rescued in the street, in front of a public housing complex, by 118. Transported conscious in code red at the Niguarda hospital underwent surgery. At a quarter past one, in Piazza Miani, in the Barona district, a 24-year-old foreigner or second generation man (his identity is not known at the moment) was attacked by other young people, and was hit by a blow which caused him a long cut from forehead to nose.

He was transported under yellow code to Humanitas in Rozzano (Milan). At a quarter past midnight, however, in via Biumi on the corner with via Ponte Nuovo, it was the turn of a 21-year-old, also apparently of foreign origin, injured by stab wounds in the leg and arm.
