Falls off a trail, 33-year-old hiker found dead after hours

The 33-year-old from Sant'Anna d'Alfaedo, province of Verona, who had been missing for hours in the Fosse area was found dead .

After the reporting of family members, a team had found their cell phone in a particularly inaccessible area. In the evening the body was found, recovered using a 40-meter winch after opening a gap in the vegetation to facilitate operations.

From an initial reconstruction it emerged that the young man slipped during a walk and tumbled for several meters in the Vajo di Peri. The impact was fatal.

On site there is the Alpine and Speleological Rescue and the Alpine Station. The search for rescuers from all the Venetian Pre-Alps Delegation, from the two speleological stations of Verona and Vicenza, the fire brigade and the civil protection took part in the search.
