The Court of Cassation has put an end to the long and complex judicial affair of the Erba massacre . The decision came today, with the Supreme Judges rejecting the appeal presented by the defense attorneys of Olindo and Rosa Bazzi , the couple sentenced to life imprisonment, against the sentence of the Court of Appeal of Brescia that had already rejected the request for a review of the sentence .

After the inadmissibility of the review, established by the Court of Appeal of Brescia in 2024, the appeal was presented by the lawyers of the two life prisoners. However, the judges of the Cassation did not consider any of the reasons with which they asked to review the decision taken last year to be well-founded.

According to the Attorney General of the Court of Cassation, "the so-called new evidence is mere conjecture, abstract." The final decision of the Supreme Court arrived in the evening: life imprisonment remains for Olindo and Rosa .
