On the case of Emanuela Orlandi – the Vatican citizen who vanished into thin air exactly 40 years ago, «in recent months this office has collected all the evidence available in the structures of the Vatican and the Holy See, also seeking proof of it through conversations with the persons in charge of some offices at the material time. He proceeded to examine the material, confirming some lines of investigation worthy of further investigation and forwarding all the relative documentation, in recent weeks, to the Rome prosecutor's office, so that the latter can examine it and proceed in the direction it deems most appropriate".

This was declared by the office of the Promoter of Justice of the Vatican State.

Meanwhile, yesterday evening the brother of the young woman, Pietro, launched an invitation: "I hope that on Sunday Pope Francis will say a word, a word of hope, I hope he wants to take a position".

A peaceful sit-in promoted by family members was also organised, which will converge at 12 at the Angelus in St. Peter's Square.
