This morning a vast police anti-crime operation was carried out in Latina, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome.
33 precautionary measures were carried out against as many people accused, for various reasons, of criminal association of the mafia type, drug trafficking and dealing, extortion, kidnapping, theft, possession and illegal carrying of weapons.
The investigations revealed the existence of a new mafia-like association of local origin, attributable to the Roma clan led by Giuseppe Di Silvio, known as Romolo.
The organization, structured on a family basis, would have become the protagonist in the Lazio city of very serious criminal episodes, taking root more and more in the territory, both with the sale of drugs and with extortion. Activities carried out by bending the victims with fear, who in some cases have been harassed for years without ever filing a complaint.
