The student who drew a swastika on the chair and then hit a teacher at the Ponti high school in Gallarate (Varese) was suspended for the whole school year .

The episode took place on 20 October last but only in these hours was the news spread following a statement of solidarity received by the teacher from the school and all the staff . The students also distanced themselves from the gesture, which was openly condemned.

The head teacher, Giuseppe Martino, explained that he had talked to the parents of the boy involved who would have first minimized the incident and then instead understood the seriousness of his behavior.
