Davide Pecorelli, the 45-year-old Umbrian entrepreneur who disappeared into thin air since last January in Albania, was found after months. The man was identified last Friday after having had a problem with the boat on which he was shipwrecked off the coast of Livorno.

What has happened in recent months is a real mystery: he claims to have gone to look for a "treasure" on the island of Montecristo. And in fact, when he was recovered, he had with him a pickaxe and a spade, a map indicating some points of the island and it seems he had already rented a garage to keep his alleged treasure. The attempt to reach the island, however, was unsuccessful due to a damage to the dinghy.

The man, who was having economic difficulties, had officially disappeared from Puke, Albania, where he had gone on a business trip. The car he had hired had been found burned along with some personal belongings and some bone fragments that were never attributed to him. Pecorelli - again according to the survey - would then reach Tuscany aboard a pilgrim bus after spending a period in a community close to Medjugorje.

On the case, the Prosecutor of Perugia has opened a file: the contents of the deposition will be sent to the Prosecutor of Grosseto, for the question of a false document, but the Perugian magistrates will also contact the Albanian judicial authorities for any aspects of their competence. .
