The Naples Surveillance Court has revoked the detention security measure that had been imposed on Pantaleone Mancuso, known as "the Engineer", 64 years old, a leading member of the 'ndrangheta family of the same name active in the Vibo Valentia area.
Mancuso, defended by the lawyer Francesco Capria, had become unavailable following the decision of his eldest son Emanuele to collaborate with justice, in June 2018. At the time he was under probation which he had evaded.
He was arrested in March 2019 while he was in a Bingo hall in Rome. Pantaleone Mancuso was incarcerated in the Aversa workhouse. The Naples surveillance magistrate assessed the man's good conduct and declared the cessation of Mancuso's social dangerousness and he was released.
The man is currently charged with drug trafficking before the Court of Vibo Valentia and with attempted double homicide before the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro.
