Investigations continue on what happened to Fabio Palotti , the 39-year -old worker who died in Rome , inside the Palazzo della Farnesina , headquarters of the Foreign Ministry , during maintenance work on an elevator .

According to what is leaked from the autopsy , carried out at the forensic medicine institute of the Gemelli Polyclinic, the 39-year-old died instantly , due to very serious "crushing injuries" .

To coordinate the investigation is the prosecutor Antonino Di Maio , who is proceeding for manslaughter , currently against unknown persons.

According to a service note that had been filed, on the evening of Wednesday 27 April between 6:25 pm and 7:00 pm a Farnesina official heard a man shout "help". For this reason, the carabinieri of the squad inside the ministry were alerted but they did not identify anyone .

In fact, the military tried to trace the author of the shouts by carrying out an inspection but without success. In those same minutes, the investigators recorded the last signal from the mobile phone of the worker , who had exchanged some messages with friends and colleagues. The phone, however, has not yet been found .

The investigators also ascertained that the worker was working alone as required by the protocol for ordinary administration.

To ascertain the facts, the prosecutor also arranged for a consultation on the lift cabin, which would have overwhelmed the 39-year-old without giving him a chance.
