On social media, and especially on TikTok, he is known as the English teacher who, with short and funny videos, explains little tricks to speak and pronounce the language better. But for Davide Patron those experienced a couple of days ago were moments of fear.

While traveling by train to Paris, he suffered a cardiac arrest. “My life almost went away in half a second,” he writes to his thousands and thousands of followers.

The 25-year-old explains that he was saved only because other passengers immediately performed life-saving maneuvers on him, including using the defibrillator. Postponing the details of the bad adventure until he is better, he publishes a photo from the hospital bed where he is hospitalized. «I hope that this post – he concludes – can raise awareness among many who, like me, have never had problems getting a check-up. At the same time I hope that it can serve as an incentive to install more defibrillators in public places and to participate in at least one first aid course."
