A new attack of pericarditis which caused a "general malaise" during the Supreme Defense Council at the Quirinale . This would be the cause that forced Minister Guido Crosetto yesterday afternoon to resort to hospitalization for the second time in three months.

The head of the Defense left the meeting in an ambulance , transported to San Carlo di Nancy , the same facility that had taken care of him last February again due to pericarditis.

«The health conditions of the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, are clearly improving. The clinical investigations - the Defense says - confirmed that it was a new episode of pericarditis which presented itself in a much more painful form than the previous episode and, as then, without cardiac implications".

It seems to have been chest pains that worried Crosetto and the ministers present at the summit with the President of the Republic . Having immediately consulted a doctor, the decision was made to take a private ambulance to the Heart Center of the Roman hospital .

The news of the hospitalization arrived yesterday at the end of a busy day for the minister and which ended with the summit at the Quirinale , as highlighted by Colle himself in a note.

Crosetto should also have participated in Question time in the Chamber today .

Last February 13th the Minister of Defense showed up, alone and on foot, at the San Carlo, also on that occasion complaining of some chest pains. A suspected pericarditis which was then confirmed by subsequent clinical tests. Fortunately, the doctors did not register any heart damage, discharging the minister just a couple of days later. The general conditions were defined as "good" with a state of "general well-being" which also allowed him to work during his hospitalization in the facility.

Crosetto had already had some heart problems in the past, with a hospitalization dating back to 2013. Countless, and bipartisan, messages of a speedy recovery arrived from the political parties. " Go Guido", the message on social media from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni , to which were added the words of encouragement from Ignazio La Russa, Matteo Salvini, Carlo Calenda, Matteo Richetti, Licia Ronzulli and many others.
