Luigi Oste, the alleged murderer of Massimo Melis, remains in prison. The investigating judge of Turin, Valentina Soria, accepted the request of the prosecutor Paola Canepa for the precautionary measure in prison for the 62-year-old, but did not validate the arrest.

The man, accused of having shot Melis and defended by the lawyer Salvo Lo Greco, was arrested on Friday night. Building contractor, convicted with convictions for crimes against property and drug dealing, Oste was arrested last June for resistance to a public official and injuries. Investigators arrived at him after examining the surveillance cameras in the area, which recorded the presence of the 62-year-old in the surrounding area and at the time of the crime, at 9pm on Halloween night, when Melis was shot dead. weapon in the head, in his car parked in via Gottardo, in the Barriera area of Milan, immediately after having accompanied his friend Patrizia home.

At first, the investigations did not rule out the hypothesis that the attacker was actually an acquaintance of Patrizia, Melis's friend, and she herself had spoken of a "suitor" who frequented her father Alessandro's bar in the area, hastening, however, to point out that he was not a stalker. Then other leads were followed.

Innkeeper, today the hypothesis of the investigator, could have seen in Melis, whom he knew, a rival, and from there the murderous raptus could have started. A hypothesis that has yet to be proved.
