Covid: incidence slightly up to 277, Rt to 0.74. Hospitalization and intensive hospitalizations are decreasing

The weekly incidence of Covid infections in Italy is slightly up. This was revealed by the latest monitoring by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
There are 277 cases for every 100 thousand inhabitants from 19 to 25 August, compared to 260 in the previous week.
The average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases remains below 1, at 0.74 , a slight decrease compared to the previous week. The transmissibility index based on hospitalized cases is also below the epidemic threshold : 0.75 (0.72-0.77) as of August 15.
Hospitalizations are decreasing. The employment rate in intensive care is 2.4% , as of 25 August, up from 2.7% last week. The employment rate in the medical area also fell, from 11% to 9.4%.
