The weekly incidence of Covid-19 cases is still decreasing in Italy.

According to the new monitoring released by the control room on the epidemic, the infections at a national level are 29 per 100,000 inhabitants (considering the period 4-10 October 2021) compared to 34 per 100,000 inhabitants in the previous report.

In the period 22 September - 5 October 2021, the mean Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was equal to 0.85 (range 0.82 - 0.87), below the epidemic threshold and slightly increased compared to the previous week when scored 0.83.

Three Regions (Marche, Molise and Valle d'Aosta) are classified this week at moderate risk, compared to the 4 Regions and Autonomous Provinces of last week (Basilicata, Trento, Bolzano and Valle d'Aosta).

The remaining 18 Regions and Autonomous Provinces are classified as low risk. In Sardinia and in the province of Bolzano there is a “resilience” alert linked to local health services.
