Collision between a motorbike and a van: husband and wife die

Fatal crash in Codevigo, in the province of Padua. A motorbike collided with a van along the Romea state road. A couple was traveling on the two-wheeler, a husband and wife in their sixties residing in Spinea, both of whom died instantly.

From an initial reconstruction, the motorbike was traveling along the road towards Padua when the extremely violent impact occurred. Husband and wife were thrown from the saddle and ended up on the asphalt. Some motorists, realizing the gravity of the situation, attempted to resuscitate them with cardiac massage until the 118 rescuers arrived, but everything was in vain.

A family of tourists was traveling in the van returning home from holidays.
