This would be the motive for the double homicide that occurred yesterday in Volvera, Turin, where Andrea Longo, an unemployed, 34-year-old former truck driver, killed Chiara Spatola and her partner Simone Sorrentino, work colleagues in a foundry and life partners, respectively 28 and 23 years old . Longo waited for Chiara in front of her house almost every evening and had repeatedly ordered her to leave her boyfriend . He had moved into the building after the couple and over time he had begun to have persecutory attitudes towards the woman.

Maybe this is also the reason why the couple had decided to change house and city (they were renovating a house in Rivalta Torinese, yesterday they went to see the furniture), but they did not have time . Last night the tragic epilogue of a story that had been dragging on for some time.

The young woman's mother revealed the persecution; the first motive hypothesized by the police was linked to an argument over condominium issues .

The tragedy unfolded last night at dinner time. Longo had called an ambulance a few hours earlier saying he wasn't feeling well, but the doctors, after examining him, decided that he didn't need hospital treatment. So he stayed at home until the evening, when he rang the doorbell of the couple's apartment. After a brief argument, he then attacked them with a large knife with a 30 cm blade. Chiara and Simone tried to escape, but the 34-year-old caught up with them and continued to attack them until he killed them. Then he took his own life , slitting his throat with the same knife.

"Why didn't you take him away, why didn't you take him away?" Chiara's mother continued to repeat throughout the night, torn apart by grief.
