First he shot and killed his lover's companion , then opened fire on the woman, seriously wounding her.

It happened in a hotel in Castelforte, in the thermal area of Suio, in the province of Latina. The man, a 58-year-old carabiniere, Giuseppe Molinari, then fled in his car towards Caserta.

The victim, Giovanni Fidaleo, 60, originally from the province of Frosinone, was the manager of the Nuova Suio hotel.

The woman is now hospitalized in the Gemelli hospital in Rome in serious condition.
