A 12-year-old boy died around 7:00 PM after falling down the stairwell of a building on Via Piave, Bologna. According to initial reports, the boy, of Albanian origin, was standing on a skylight, possibly made of plexiglass, which collapsed under his feet. He then fell to his death down the stairwell.

He was accompanied by some friends who attempted to help him, but to no avail. The 12-year-old died instantly. Emergency responders and forensic police arrived on the scene, conducting investigations both in the courtyard of the building and near the stairwell where the 12-year-old fell.
