Beaten in the park at night, a 60-year-old woman dies: a homeless man in a cell

Beaten to death by a homeless man in a park in Rovereto, Trentino.

A 60-year-old woman died in hospital from the severity of the beatings received by a foreigner of about 40 who attacked her in a park yesterday evening, around 10.30 pm.

Some tenants of a nearby building raised the alarm, who heard the screams of the victim and when they looked out the windows they saw her on the ground with her pants down and the attacker above hitting her in the face violently.

The man then fled, but the police arrested him shortly after. The 40-year-old, already known to the police, is under arrest for murder.
