A 4-year-old boy died today in a road accident in Spresiano (Treviso), on the Pontebbana road.

The little one, Eduard, was on board a car, a BMW X1, driven by his mother, a thirty-four year old originally from Eastern Europe when, for reasons to be ascertained, the car suddenly skidded, going off the road and crashing into a tree .

When rescuers arrived on the spot, the woman was transported in a state of shock to the hospital, at Ca' Foncello, together with her little son, in very serious conditions.

The child was strapped into the car seat in the back seat. But precautions were not enough.

Shortly thereafter, the child died due to the severity of his injuries. The dynamics of the accident are being examined by the Carabinieri of Treviso.

But according to the testimonies of those who rushed to the scene, the first words of the woman who just got out of the car after the crash were: "I fell asleep".
