Attempted extortion from the Loro Piana family, an arrest

An official of the Vercelli Revenue Agency was arrested by the Milan carabinieri, on the orders of the Turin magistrate, for attempted extortion against the Loro Piana family of entrepreneurs. The man, recipient of the order of pre-trial detention at home, is also accused of abusive access to a computer or electronic system.

The investigations were born after the complaint presented by Sergio Loro Piana's widow who had received an anonymous request for the delivery of 300 thousand euros, otherwise confidential information relating to a dispute between the company and the Revenue Agency would have been disclosed.
