Assault on an armored van in the Bari area: cars on fire along the road, robbers on the run

Cars on fire , placed on state road 96, to stop the progress of an armored van carrying cash and rob it.

This is what happened shortly before 8 this morning near Toritto, in the province of Bari.

The assault , which did not cause any injuries, was apparently successful and the loot has yet to be quantified.

Three teams of firefighters intervened to put out the flames.

The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.
