"Keep your boarding pass". This is the advice given by the flight crew to the passengers on the last Alitalia flight, which took off last night from Cagliari at 10.05 pm, before the definitive end of the national airline's activity, which began 75 years ago.

After landing in Fiumicino there was a lot of emotion between the passengers and the crew of the last flight. Upon exiting the terminal, pilots, hostesses and stewards were greeted with flowers, tears and long hugs from a large group of colleagues.

"Captain Andrea Gioia made a beautiful speech on board that moved all of us - said a lady who had just landed -. Before getting off I had the ticket signed by all the crew. I will keep it carefully in my memory book. . Obviously the atmosphere on board was sad. Hostess and steward were good. Really equal to the situation. Since I was a child I have always traveled with Alitalia. My father - added the woman - was a flight controller. Alitalia is a company that has always given me a great guarantee. I'm sorry for how it ended ".

"We need to study the causes of this end and see how to resolve the matter. Certainly Alitalia - commented another passenger - has made history in the world and therefore this must be taken into consideration".

"We will now see what will happen - said Marco Romagnolo, commander of another Alitalia flight arrived from Catania -. It is not in my ropes to be shot down. An era that starts from a long way off is ending. of conscience, not only those who worked for Alitalia but all Italians ".
