Alberto Stasi has "trust that full light will be shed, trust in the truth and in justice especially for Chiara" . This was explained by one of his lawyers, Giada Bocellari, who spoke briefly this morning, after the reopening of the investigation in Pavia on Andrea Sempio, with the 41-year-old sentenced to 16 years for the murder of his girlfriend Chiara Poggi in 2007.

"Alberto is very rational," added the lawyer, " he has practically served his sentence and is confident, however, that justice will be done, because he has always declared himself innocent."

The reopening of the case was also commented by Gian Luigi Tizzoni, historical lawyer of the Poggi family. «It is the seventh attempt to overturn a judgment and it is truly rare, extraordinary».

"After the final sentence of the case, a total of about forty magistrates dealt with it, all of them supporting Stasi's full responsibility," added the lawyer.

"We await the results of this further investigation," concluded Tizzoni, who this morning filed a request with the Pavia prosecutor's office to be able to file the nomination for the injured party.
