A one-and-a-half-year-old boy dies after being hit by his grandmother's car while reversing.

A one-and-a-half-year-old boy died after being hit by a reversing car driven by his grandmother .

The tragedy occurred yesterday evening around 8.30pm in Zero Branco, in the Treviso area .

In the forecourt of the apartment building where the little boy's family lives, the grandmother was operating the vehicle when it hit the child; it is not known why she was behind the car.

An ambulance arrived on the scene, and doctors attempted to resuscitate and stabilize the child, whose condition immediately appeared critical. The child was intubated and rushed to Treviso Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.
