A baby with a burned heart is called to the hospital urgently: "The possibility of an organ transplant is suspected."

Patrizia Mercolino , the mother of the boy from Naples who received a damaged heart transplant , was urgently summoned by health workers at the Monaldi hospital, where the little boy is being treated.

According to the family's lawyer, Francesco Petruzzi, there is a possibility that a new heart is available , but it's unclear whether it's compatible. Hospital sources also confirmed this.

The medical bulletin was issued that afternoon, but contained no significant updates: "The clinical condition of the young patient who received the transplant on December 23rd has not changed significantly since previously reported. His clinical condition remains stable, in a severely critical situation, and the child continues to be hospitalized in intensive care under close medical and instrumental monitoring and specialist consultations. The patient therefore remains on the transplant list until further evaluation."
