A 12-year-old boy was injured in Naples' Sanità neighborhood with two stab wounds to the left lung. The incident reportedly occurred in his home, and the Carabinieri are currently not ruling out the possibility that the stab wounds were inflicted by his father. He then attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself in the throat and face with the knife. His mother was also injured in the hand.

The man also allegedly attacked a 118 nurse. Father and son are hospitalized at Pellegrini Hospital with a guarded prognosis.

According to the reconstruction, the father stabbed his 12-year-old son twice, apparently suffering from withdrawal symptoms, in front of his two other daughters, aged 10 and 16. Neighbors raised the alarm. In a lucid moment after the attack, the man then realized the seriousness of his actions and injured himself on the wrists and throat with the same knife, but not seriously. The knife was seized.
