Fatal accident in Giugliano in Campania, in the Naples area: on via Domitiana, a two-seater smart Fortwo, but with four people on board (a couple with two daughters) overturned for reasons yet to be ascertained.
One of the girls, just eight years old, died from the impact. The couple's other daughter, 16 years old, was taken to the hospital in Pozzuoli with fractures. The mother was also taken to the same hospital for observation, while the husband, who was driving, only suffered a few abrasions.
The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.
Initial investigations revealed that the man driving the car did not have a license and the car was uninsured. It also appears that the 16-year-old was sitting in the small rear trunk and the victim was in her mother's arms on the passenger seat.
