17-year-old student dies hit by a lorry: his sister is very serious, the fleeing driver has been stopped

Tragedy in Sanremo. A 17-year-old student died after being hit just before 8am by a truck, which was fleeing after the accident.

It happened in Bussana, a hamlet of the city.

The boy was in the company of his 15-year-old sister and was walking along the wall when the vehicle hit them both. The young woman, in very serious conditions, was transferred to the Pietra Ligure hospital.

The fleeing truck driver was stopped. The man, tracked down by the police thanks to the descriptions of the truck provided by a witness, had just finished delivering the goods to a local company. He told the police that he hadn't noticed anything. The truck was seized and the driver transferred to hospital for the necessary medical tests.
