Some numbers are known. For some time. It is known that the condition of insularity takes away at least 9.2 billion per year from the GDP of Sardinia. And that the greater cost that the Sardinians have to sustain for transport exceeds 660 million.

But many data that could contribute to reducing territorial imbalances are – at the moment – unknown or incomplete.

For example, those concerning the Lep: these are the "essential levels of performance", already at the centre of the debate on differentiated autonomy, which however are also the points of reference to be used to measure the island delays.

Here: in the procedure to define the minimum standard needs of the regions, the Government received the numbers from Sicily but not from Sardinia.

«As regards the Sardinia Region», we read in the report that the Undersecretary of Economy Federico Freni illustrated during one of the last hearings in the parliamentary commission, «there are delays in the detection of standard needs, although the work «for the administration of the relative questionnaires to the Municipalities is being started, through the Technical Commission».

But now we have reached a possible turning point. In the last meeting , a draft of the proposed law that should implement Article 119 of the Constitution was shared.
