A photo contest on social media to promote Sardinian food crafts.
The "Crafts is on the table" project, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari and Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna in collaboration with Aifb, the Italian Food Blogger Association, was developed for three days with 29 artisan companies in northern Sardinia who put their best food and wine productions are available: from culurgiones to panadas, from liqueurs to beer, to get to ceramics, cork and furnishing accessories.
All photographed by a group of specialists in photographic communication on social media, who in recent days have landed in Sardinia to learn about and talk about the businesses and productions of the island.
The tour started from Olbia, with a visit to the Varalto ceramic production company and participation in Benvenuto Vermentino, within the event of which a stand of Confartigianato Gallura was set up where the artistic and design companies were able to exhibit their products.
Subsequently the group moved to Ozieri, to admire the local handicrafts exhibited at the Museo Mulino Galleu, then to Pattada, to learn more about the Giampiero Pizzadilli artisan company of cutlery.
The minitour ended with a visit to some nuraghi in the Gallura area and to various artisan businesses, including the production of Rau wines and liqueurs, and the sweet Giglio di Sardegna.
"The project was born from the need to find new strategies to raise awareness of the excellence of agri-food and typical and traditional craftsmanship even outside the traditional channels", commented Maria Amelia Lai, regional president of Confartigianato Sardegna.
"The virality of social media is an extraordinary opportunity to reach new consumers, starting with the youngest, in Italy and around the world", he concluded.
