A work to encourage people who attend the MEM of Cagliari not to remain silent to "put an end to the bullying behavior of bullies and cyberbullies", keeping "high attention on a very serious social phenomenon".

“Bullying”, a painting by the artist Luigi Pillittu, was presented this morning by the councilor Maria Dolores Picciau at the Mediateca del Mediterraneo in via Mameli.

The meeting was also attended by the students of classes 1A, 2A, 2B and 3A of the comprehensive "Giusy Devinu" Institute, with their professors and the head teacher Federica Iecle, who stressed the importance of "networking" against the phenomenon, unfortunately, which is increasingly widespread especially among the very young.

The work that Pillittu donated to the Municipality of Cagliari is part of a context, that of the MEM, usually frequented by young people and students, addressing the subject according to traits of "instinctive understanding". And in fact, even the first glance leaves no doubt about the message that the painting wants to convey even to less attentive visitors.

To be portrayed by the artist, albeit in bright colors, boys who strike another. In the background women and mothers crying.

An invitation, first of all to the world of school and university so that it is the youngest ones who become aware of the damage that bullying actions entail.

"Talk children, with your parents, with teachers and friends", the artist's appeal to break down the wall of silence that often protects this phenomenon.
