The 14th edition of the Figari International Short Film Fest ended yesterday in Golfo Aranci with the Guglielmo Marconi Award for communication to the actor Pierpaolo Spollon and the proclamation of the winning short films.
An edition characterized by the very high quality of the films in competition and the guests and by the notable turnout of the public at the screenings, on the beach and on the promenade of Golfo Aranci, where the final ceremony for awarding the prizes in the various sections was held, according to the selection of the jurors, the Bosnian director and producer Kenan Music, director of the international festival Omladinsky Film Festival Sarajevo and of the short film market Hvar Film Festival, the very young Iberian colleague Christian Aviles and the Italian actors Michela De Rossi and Eduardo Scarpetta.
The winners
Best Regional “Shooting watermelons” by Antonio Donato, which also received the Rai Cinema Channel Award, Best National “Agnus Day” by Giuseppe Isoni, with a special mention for “Group photo” by Tommaso Frangini, best Animation short film “ On the 8th day” by Agathe Sénéchal, Alicia Massez, Elise Debruyne, Flavie Carin, Théo Duhautois (France) and Best International Award to the Iranian film “There is no friend's house” by Abas Taheri.
Audience Award to “Tilipirche” by the Cagliari-born director Francesco Piras and special mention for the Spanish short film “Little” by Meka Ribera, Álvaro G. Kenan Music wanted to select the short film in development “Catene” by Lorenzo for participation in its Sarajevo festival Gonnelli, project presented during the Figari Film Market. Among other awards, the award for Best Producer to Ivan Casagrande Conti's Rosso Film.
Finally Spollon, protagonist of many successful TV series, including "Doc - In your hands" and "Blanca", who collected the Guglielmo Marconi Award last night, preceded the evening before by another artist of the moment, the actor and singer-songwriter Matteo Paolillo, among the most loved of "Mare Fuori", who received the Beatrice Bracco Award as the best performer of the new generation.
The remaining special prizes, France TV and WeShort, will be awarded in the next few days.
