Gigi Riva blows out 78 candles today. And for the honorary president of Cagliari, a special gift: the release to the cinema of the docu-film about his life , signed by Riccardo Milani.

Shy and reserved man, always attentive to his private life, Riva has not yet decided whether he will be there tonight, at the premiere .

“I will decide at the last moment - he explains to the Unione Sarda -. I am afraid of being moved to the point of not being able to see the whole documentary. Of course this is a day full of emotions: the film, the birthday and why not, I could also decide to go and celebrate with my family and close friends at my friend Giacomo Deiana ”.

The film, from today in cinemas in Sardinia and in the next few days in distribution throughout Italy, entitled "A roar of thunder in our sky ", was born as a tribute to the champion who fell in love with Cagliari and the island.

“Cagliari made me a man and a professional in football. He welcomed me with open arms like a son, but also in other places on the island I have always felt at home ”, his words.
