Focus on the value of friendship , in " The Onesto Phantom " with dramaturgy and direction by Edoardo Erba , one of the most successful and well-known Italian playwrights, already author of a cult text such as "New York Marathon" which, after its triumphant debut yesterday at the Teatro Comunale of Ittiri, the tour will continue tonight, Wednesday 21 February, at the Teatro Comunale of Ittiri, tomorrow at the Multidisciplinary Auditorium of Arzachena, Friday 23 February at the “Oriana Fallaci” Civic Theater of Ozieri, Saturday 24 February at the Teatro San Bartolomeo di Meana Sardo and finally on Sunday at the Teatro Costantino in Macomer as part of the Season of La Grande Prosa organized by CeDAC, the Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia chaired by Antonio Cabiddu with the artistic direction of Valeria Ciabattoni.

In the spotlight Gianmarco Tognazzi , one of the most important protagonists of Italian theater and with an extraordinary and endless career behind him of great successes also on TV and the big screen.

Over 100 titles in cinema and television series with the most prestigious Italian directors, "Hystrio 2000 – Altri Muse" Award, protagonist in important short films, Gianmarco Tognazzi is one of the actors most loved by the public and maintains a special bond with Sardinia.

With him on stage Renato Marchetti and Massimiliano Franciosa , who replaces Fausto Sciarappa, with the participation in the video of Bruno Armando, for an intriguing and engaging show on the border between life and dream, and where reality and fiction intertwine, with the elegant scenography of Alessandro Chiti and the original music by Massimiliano Gagliardi, with lighting design and sound design by David Barittoni, assistant director Francesca Pentasuglia and production by Altra Scena and Viola Produzioni: through a metatheatrical mechanism, “L'onesto Phantom” addresses the theme of loss, of pain and regret, transfiguring it into a sort of catharsis through poetry.

The story of emotions unfolds starting from the ancient friendship between four actors, created thanks to intense acquaintance during a tour and somehow interrupted by the tragic end of one of them: of the three survivors only one, Gallo, has reached the heights of success thanks to his film performances, while the other two, Costa and Tito, are going through a difficult moment and in fact try to involve him in one of their theater projects with the hope of giving new impetus to their careers.

In reality for Gallo, who truly loved him with all his soul, the loss of his friend still represents an unresolved trauma, so much so that he decided never to return to the stage again and in an attempt to persuade him the idea of creating a mise was born. en scène of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, entrusting the deceased with the role of the ghost, complete with his name on the poster.

A dilemma for Gallo, an artist known and loved by the general public, well aware of the reasons for that insistence, because that posthumous homage does not seem appropriate or even too tasteful to him, at least until his deceased friend appears to him in the guise of ghost, arrived from the afterlife just like Hamlet's father, to ask for justice and take revenge for the betrayals and deceptions of his ancient scene companions, forcing them to confess their sins and placing them before their responsibilities, in a sort of game of truth.

Edoardo Erba's writing marries the ironic and biting tones, the immediacy, the cruelty and the lightness of comedy, between dazzling jokes and dangerous revelations, with food for thought on the human condition, to investigate the meaning and importance of friendship , a bond made of esteem and loyalty, solidarity and brotherhood, which resists the passage of time and changes, so much so that it even overcomes death.
