The shirt of Gianluca Vialli, Juve's number 9, which the champion who died on January 6 last year had worn for three years, has been recovered. She disappeared last Thursday from the Franca e Luciano restaurant in Castelverde, in the province of Cremona.
The owner, Corrado Venturini, and his lawyer Luca Curatti had launched an appeal: "We have elements that can allow us to find who stole Gianluca's shirt: give it back to us and let's close the matter."
And this morning the shirt was found in the Parco del Vecchio Passeggio, a green area of the Lombardy capital. She was not taken back to the restaurant but abandoned at the foot of a tree. Laying on the ground, so she could be seen.
It was Riccardo Miadoro, coach and former footballer, who noticed it during a walk and immediately handed it over to Venturini.
"I'm really happy - comments the owner of the restaurant - because for me, and ultimately for all the people of Cremona, that shirt had enormous emotional and symbolic value."
