Cagliari Femminile's run to the Serie A five-a-side football playoffs ends in the quarterfinals. The red and blue girls, coached by Moreno Giorgi, lost 9-4 overall in the double challenge against Pescara, without managing to extend the series to game 3: after the 2-4 last Sunday at the PalaConi, they suffered a 5-2 defeat away this afternoon.
Four goals for the home team in the first half: Belli scores a brace, in the middle Taty doubles and then Dal'maz scores a poker. At the start of the second half Virdis shortens the gap, then Coppari scores an own goal on a shot by Vecchione but redeems himself with the goal for the final 5-2 .
Also in the afternoon, great victory for Leonardo 9-1 in Pomezia against Roma C5 in the first leg of the Serie A2 Elite playouts . The Cagliari team will have the return match at home on Tuesday at 3pm to close the accounts in the race for salvation.
